Two. Male and female :) Anything else is based on feelings and feelings don't really matter when it comes to an objective identification. Some people feel like cats, dogs or another race. It does not make them so :) Likewise, no matter how much some wish to blur the lines between males and females so they feel normal, the truth will remain unchanged for all time. What you are is in your DNA and this is fixed. No matter how much you mutilate your body or mess with your hormones, your DNA isn't going to change. As much as my life would be easier as a female, I accept reality and make the most of what I am :)

Look up Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome. ;) That's all to do with sex though, not gender.

@Sharon I already know about that. Such people are still male. Often they have undescended testes that are surgically removed.

@BanPlastic There are cases of AIS that are only discovered by chance during an investigation of some other condition such as infertility. It's a fascinating subject.

@BanPlastic false. Sex and gender aren't the same thing and even sex isn't binary.

@BanPlastic DNA is in the top five most unstable things in all of existence, don't fool yourself.

@basilfawlty89 I reject the differentiation between sex and gender. Such a differentiation was made up by those who want to be recognized for how they feel rather than what they are. If I feel like a Chinese woman, it doesn't mean I am. If you feel like a dog, it doesn't mean you are.
Genotypic sex is binary. The presence of a Y chromosome provided by a male sperm makes you a male regardless of how many X chromosomes you have. I don't care about genitals. If I lost my genitals in an accident, I would still be a male and that wouldn't depend on how I feel about it and medically, I would always be considered male.
At the end of the day though, people will believe whatever makes them happy. Even the old man who identifies as a six year old girl. Nothing I state would change his mind. My beliefs don't change...but you do you :)

I reject the differentiation between sex and gender.
So you're doing exactly what you criticize others for. 🤷♀️

@BanPlastic except neurological studies of transwomen have showed they have brain wiring the same as cisgender women. Transwomen aren't fooling themselves, there are neurological and genetic reasons that people are trans.
I really recommend you research some studies on this and also look at the history of the definition of gender and sex. Furthermore I'd invite you to look at what trans people have to say for themselves.

@basilfawlty89 See, these are all just emotional appeals and you're making assumptions about how much I know. Even gay men have brain wiring like straight women. It doesn't mean those gay men are women. Anyway, I'm going to leave it here because I don't want to discuss the emotional aspect of this since that's going to get in the way of the facts. Just bear in mind that even the man who identifies as a dog genuinely feels like a dog and the White man who identifies as a Filipino lady genuinely feels that way too. To me, this only demonstrates that how we feel is not always a reliable indicator of the facts.
Take care :)
