Even biological sex isn't always clear. There's a difference between genital sex and chromosomal sex for example. You might like to look up Dr Anne Fausto-Sterling's work in this field. You are both right of course. Please note that I didn't say biological sex is, by its very nature, either female or male; I just said people confuse it with gender.
