Funny enough, men that have a problem with gender-variant people do not realize that none of the genders, whether two or 20, would be interested in them anyways.

@CestManan Exactly. Why does anyone care? Except for quickly deciding if it might be worth approaching someone sexually/romantically/etc. the gender of a stranger is irrelevant.

@ninalanyon A lot of people still have problems with us TG. Acceptance comes and goes. Seems they feel however they are told by the latest leader.

@CestManan I'm lucky to live in a country where one's gender or sexual inclinations are regarded as pretty much irrelevant by most of the population.

I listened to a BBC podcast on the experience of gay people 'coming out' and when they got to Norway and started interviewing people they found that most gays they interviewed had never 'come out', it was simply a non-issue for them, they had not been concealing their sexuality in the first place.

@CestManan I'll field this one.

I don't personally have a "problem" with people who choose to identify as whatever gender/sex they choose. You do you, and I will call you by whatever you want as long as you answer to it.

However, do not tell me that your delusion will define reality for the rest of us. We don't refer to ourselves as "breeders" around homosexuals, and we don't define ourselves as "differently abled" around paraplegics. People who believe there are multiple genders and it is fluid are the ones who have the issue, not the rest of us.

This issue has tipped over into hysteria and I won't be sucked into the maelstrom.

@SumKindaMunster I do not try to tell people how to think, I am not a crusader. Most people just treat me like another face in the crowd whether they know my gender status or not.

Most of us transgender folks are just trying to live life and get by like anyone else.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@CestManan I appreciate that response. And honestly, you are not the first transgender person to say something like that to me.

However, I've had discussions with your supposed "allies" who think such distinctions make me a bigot, and they demand I submit to this way of thinking or be ostracized. 🤷‍♂️

@SumKindaMunster There are some crusaders out there but here is another thing -
If we are trying to blend into society like a normal person, we are not doing ourselves any favors by drawing more attention to our gender status.

I am sure people figure me out pretty quick but I am not going to be like that one at Game Stop who made a total ass of herself.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@CestManan Fair. Am I am sorry if anyone harasses you for being who you are. I was bullied in my youth for being "different" and I cannot abide by anyone being bullied for just trying to be themselves.
