A tragic death for sure. But in a time when everyone is encouraged to rush to judgment, I will refrain and await the results of an investigation.
Hindsight is 20/20. It is difficult to keep your wits about you when confronted with a potentially deadly situation. And I do not know what is going on in anyone else's mind, ever. I just don't have that superpower.

Sir. She was actively lunging at people with a plainly visible knife. She absolutely would have caused bodily harm if not intervened upon when she was.
It's sad but when we walk down certain paths, certain consequences become real. There are plenty of fights to mount - this isn't one of them.

... because she intended to kill that other person. This was a justifiable killing... sadly.
