Police are not judge, jury or executioners! Ma’Khia Bryant did not deserve to be shot down in the back like a rabies dog.

She was a frantic teenager who had actually called the cops because two adult women were jumping on her. Yes, she went a little crazy and ignored the officer's command to drop the knife - but she didn't deserve to die, and the officer who shot her in the back - 4 times - knew exactly what he was doing. The use of force was excessive and unwarranted. He could have tasered her or even shot her in the leg. He intended to kill her.
A tragic death for sure. But in a time when everyone is encouraged to rush to judgment, I will refrain and await the results of an investigation.

Hindsight is 20/20. It is difficult to keep your wits about you when confronted with a potentially deadly situation. And I do not know what is going on in anyone else's mind, ever. I just don't have that superpower.

Sir. She was actively lunging at people with a plainly visible knife. She absolutely would have caused bodily harm if not intervened upon when she was.

It's sad but when we walk down certain paths, certain consequences become real. There are plenty of fights to mount - this isn't one of them.

... because she intended to kill that other person. This was a justifiable killing... sadly.
