Does forced retirement violate the Civil Rights Act?

Sidewinder · 36-40, M
I don't know for sure if forced retirement is a violation of the Civil Rights Act, as I, myself, have never heard any accounts of forced retirement, anecdotal, or otherwise.

But I am, however, of the philosophy, that if one is to retire, it should be on ones on terms and not that of anyone else's.
I don't know, but I don't think I can afford to retire even at my 60s.

I dunno, does it?

@DDonde It's age discrimination. But many companies have forced retirement policies, mostly based on employment length - which is obviously a way to force old people to retire.

@LoveTriumphsOverHate Does the civil rights act cover that?
