I end up following certain people just for their responses

I never thought of doing that. I might give it a try. Only time I read a profile is if they started following me and I dont remember who they are from any posts. Other times is if they have posted a serious question and before I post a reply I want to see their profile to get more background and context. It helps sometimes.

I've read some after a notable comment or question is posted. Otherwise I'm just passing time in the feed.

In general the profiles are more interesting.

I look at a profile to see if we have anything at all in common.

I do not but I should. I tend to read profiles only when I am really curious about someone and then I am bummed if there are no posts to read.
