Why do some women try and stay with men that cheat on them?

Because some women have low self esteem and prefer to hold on to the devil they know than start again. Sad really

This was one of many reasons why I have left my husband and I have never regret it.

You have to understand the dynamics at play. Why did the man cheat? Does he show regret? What is the status of the relationship? It's not always easy to just pick up and leave and it shouldn't be. Look, I'm not excusing or promoting cheating. But, let's not dismiss the power of forgiveness and in the case of a marriage, the ultimate commitment that goes with it. Also... women cheat too.

Money and lining their ducks up first, laziness with not wanting to start over or just glad they don’t have to catch the fleas.

That's probably why they stay. Though this is an issue with society as a whole, people would rather stay in a situation detrimental to themselves than face things alone. This happens both in terms of preferring a socialist government then runs the economy to the ground rather than having to work for your lot, and relationships.
