@Laurajade A lot of the time, I believe that the "men" who physically abused me growing up only did so because they didn't have the balls to hit another man.

If I had been a man and had the ability to fight for myself, I believe that the abuse would have stopped sooner and been less traumatic for me than having to rely on men seeing the abuse occuring and being brave enough to intervene enough to stop it.
