What are they doing?

I am amused by Amazon's effort to inform me they are working madly to get my order here.

In the past twenty-four hours, they have labelled my order thusly:

Not yet shipped
Preparing to ship
Shipping now

(but not yet 'shipped')

The truck that picks up orders from the shipper is idling at the dock, doors open wide and welcoming, while warehouse workers are loading my little pantry organizer onto a forklift, harmonizing on "We're Almost There."

It's so pandemic-exciting.

So they have to give you an update about what is happening every minute?
@HoeBag Apparently.

@Mamapolo2016 Amazon's ENTIRE existence teeters on your one order.

If they get it wrong, the company will have to shut down.

Jeff Bezos will go bankrupt and have to dress like Janice and sell him, er, HERself on the streets just to make ends meet.

Oh but get this - so I ordered some car parts off ebay and the updates to MY order looked like this -
"It gets there when it gets there, quit holding your breath".
