They've got to open up the economy first, currently it's somewhat protectionist, I think Amazon tried getting in and they had a hell of a time. Policies enacted by the country's gov meant a wide range of items were not able to be sold.
So for any MNC that is not B2B tech based or an FnB outlet, it's a tough fight to be competitive where the odds are clearly in the domestic crowd's favour.
