My personal hypothesis is that the hikers fell victim to the Russian military testing "parachute bombs" and they were mistakenly caught in it. It would explain the radiation found on them, the strange way in which the trees were affected, and the wounds on the bodies which seemed to indicate extreme pressure.

they all died!!..in different places, they found their bodies scattered in different places, i can believe that if they died in one place inside their camp for example
