I would enjoy receiving flowers

hlpflwthat · M
Remind me to thank my wife one more time for the chain saw.

Lol - I get your question I think. Cut flowers are gorgeous. As 'partners' I think a few times each year at $100 a throw has worked well for us - all on her special days. Being a gardener myself, I'd certainly appreciate them as a gift or gesture today. If I'm honest I'm not sure how I'd handled it at your age.

Somewhat related - at our large wedding one of my friends wound up spending the night with one of her friends. Strangers up until then. It happens at weddings, and it's one of the better motives for attendance.

She sent him a dozen roses couple days later. Our crew gave him holy hell and he didn't handle it well at all. I'd have treated them like a fucking award for good boom-boom lol. I've always stuck up for her through the years of good-natured(mostly) ribbing she gets for it. When the story comes up today, her husband of many years now, likes to claim she sent him his fucking Camaro after sleeping with him first time 😏
I wish I could give my friends flowers, bright ones with meaning, not romantic, or at the very least potted plants? But I’m not sure how that would be interpreted.
My husband loves receiving flowers and pot plants. He doesn't care a jot about the poetic meanings, but loves anything beautiful, unusual, sweet-smelling or edible.

I would appreciate the thought, but that would be about it. The problem for me is that if I had wanted flowers or potted plants I'd have already gotten them for myself. But I also tend to enjoy giving little gifts more than receiving them, so that may be part of it.

If you really wanted to get me flowers, you pick up some seeds and then we would spend a day together outside making up a little garden plot to plant them in my yard. That way we have a bonding experience with them. Though, I'd favor food producing plants over flowers still.
