I'm Serbian, not Russian, but I'm with you on this one. It's fairly amusing to see "the most powerful country on Earth" shitting itself into oblivion over fears that each opposing side is some kind of secret agent reporting back to the Motherland.

@BlueMetalChick A decline of rational thinking, which is replaced by conspiracy "theories".
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@helenS It's especially frustrating because then it makes it difficult to question the actions of the government in a reasonable way without being labelled a tinfoil hat case.

@BlueMetalChick I thought it was all about China these days. It’s nice to know we still keep them awake at night when they hear a floorboard creaking “was that Russians🥺?”
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Lapochka One of my closest friends is a native, she's from Yakutsk. She spent about a year in prison in Severodvinsk, and has all the tattoos to show for it. People are perpetually frightened that she's a menacing violent urka when in reality she plays the upright bass with the orchestra 😂

@BlueMetalChick Another sign it’s of evil, tattoos on a female - ring the church bells!

@BlueMetalChick Yeah, wake up. It's not just Russian trolls controlling the commentary on American politics, but also the Chinese and latterly the Iranians. They must be pissing themselves laughing, watching the American media picking up their stories, and watching America imploding.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@novaguy2u And yet the American media keeps making money off it despite acting like clowns running around with their fucking hair on fire. Ugh, sensationalism. So tiresome.
novaguy2u · 70-79, M
@BlueMetalChick Drama and bullshit sells papers, honest commentary not so much.

But that's more of an American and British thing than it is for NZ or Australia.
we have a free press here in New Zealand, a feature you would know nothing about.
Ah you might be surprised. Despite the intention of corporate media being more objective because they aren't state-funded and therefore not beholden to the government for monetary reasons, half the time corporate media ends up being even more beholden to power than state media. But that's more of an American and British thing than it is for NZ or Australia.
