Why is this site so toxic?

Anonymity allows people to divorce themselves from the real-world ramifications of their darker impulses.

Or, as Mike Tyson would put it,

Don’t take things here seriously. Appreciate the stability of those in your real life.

Just limit your interactions with a select group of people whom you find are kind to others on this site, and respect their opinions.

I find that works for me. Also standing up against the bullies, and reporting the trolls if you find them spreading too much toxicity helps in keeping this place clean imho.

Kind of like teachers are the masked rioting radicals of BLM. It’s difficult to understand , or expect the next batch of young adults to be productive

100% right on. Mental age is way younger than actual age.

People talk shit but it is best to avoid personal insults.

Some probably feel bad enough as it is but then to be put down by someone on a social media forum does not help.
