My biological parents, no. My mom and stepdad are very affectionate though. My parents got divorced when I was still a toddler though, so I don’t remember if they were ever affectionate while married.
TwiddlerofThumbs · F
lol..no. but my dad was pretty affectionate with a number of other random women.

@DoubleRings I love him, he's my father. I am part of him. However, he was a horrible husband to my mother and treated her like total garbage. He's paid his dues and even now, 40 years after their divorce, my mom still talks shit about him.
Does it piss me off? No, actually, it does not. Life has a way of paying us back and hes gotten his. Hes just my dad now. My perverted elderly father who talks about sex way too much. Now that, that kind of pisses me off and creeps me out.

@TwiddlerofThumbs Naughty man!
DoubleRings · 51-55, F
@TwiddlerofThumbs LOL well nothing wrong with a sex drive in the elderly! Good for him in that way but keep the rocket in the pocket when in a relatnsp.

Not really. They are in Eastern Europe. Those people lost a few generations due to the iron curtain. Basically living in the early 1900’s
novaguy2u · 70-79, M
Yes, until the day my mother died aged 47.
DoubleRings · 51-55, F
@novaguy2u I can imagine - same with my mom but i was fortunate to have her a bit longer. If i may ask, what did she die of at such a young age?
novaguy2u · 70-79, M
@DoubleRings Cervical cancer. Survived the first part of WW2 in Britain as a fire warden, then served as a section leader on a RAF base, only to die of cancer. So unfair!
DoubleRings · 51-55, F
@novaguy2u Indeed so unfair. what a brave woman she was. ❤️
Goffa · 36-40, M
When I was very little, they were. I haven't seen it in a long time, though. They're like roommates now.
BananaBrown · 41-45, F
Occasionally. They seemed to operate in extremes only. Not a lot of middle ground.
DragonFruit · 61-69, M
Yes, they were....my father was not an affectionate person except with my mother.

SW-User
Not too often. My mom often complained about my dad's lack of wanting to do anything romantic with her including dancing.
DoubleRings · 51-55, F
This makes me sad, reminds me a bit of my mom in some way. my dad danced with her but didn’t do a lot of other things i know she would have loved @SW-User

Yes
bijouxbroussard · F
In a very subtle way. Not a lot of pdas but loving looks and inside jokes.
curiosi · 61-69, F
Psychopaths aren't known for being affectionate.
Mikla · 61-69, F
Unless you count throwing utensils at each other, no.
ExtremeNext · 36-40
Yes they often had sex on the couch while I watched TV 😲
REMsleep · 41-45, F
None of my family is super affectionate or huggy but we all were capable of showing love.
My parents were openly interested in each other. Yuck!
