My boyfriend chose my outfit for my job interview but I don't think I like it that much. Should I just wear something else and not tell him?

Sounds okay.A fitted skirtsuit is also good for interviews. You can pick your own skirt length.Short could be best the jacket should follow your figure.Nice blouse or top.Choose between sandals or shoes both high heeled.Smart elegant and a little daring

A good tip is never dress better than the interviewer

It's my first interview. Intern architect. I'm worried a tight short skirt will look too insinuating. I don't have any other nice skirts.

@escapemyreality: maybe a trip to the mall?Short skirts are fine I have worn a skirtsuit with a micro skirt and bare legs with high heeled sandals and a cropped halter on an interview for a receptionist job.I got the job too.You could go for mid thigh no problem.Material choice could be important obviously dont wear any demin.Light grey or blue are good colour choices

Also if your nails are varnished make sure they are not chipped.Dont go too heavy on the makeup.Dont talk too fast answering questions so you look calm and composed.Try to look around on the way in or out to get an idea of acceptable attire if you succeed.

great question!!!! does he generally have good taste in clothes?
That's the other side of the coin! So glad you brought it up!
escapemyreality · 31-35, F
Usually yes. He likes well dressed people. But he's not with me right now, so he's just seeing pictures so idk maybe that distorts things a bit

so, as others have said, in the end you have to feel good and comfortable with the choice. but i wouldn't just dismiss his idea outright. maybe there's something to it? feel free to message me a pic of the two outfits if you want a girls opinion
It's your career not his!

What did you choose? He may have a good idea of what suits you and what makes a good impression
escapemyreality · 31-35, F
Grey short skirt, white buttoned shirt, burgundy coat.
I had either this top part with black pants, or the skirt with a black long sleeve shirt

@escapemyreality: I think he choose well especially for any job that has a customer facing element. His outfit was professional but feminine
MrsPeterEvans · 31-35, F
@escapemyreality: I would wear it with nylons and heels for an office interview
But! Does he have good taste and understand the environment your looking to pursue a career in. There is a difference from my other answer?

It's all about authority or support! You know hm better then we do. I hope it's the latter

@JoanieNewHampshire: do you mind if I message you and ask your opinion on it too..?
@escapemyreality: not at all

Doe he normally do that?

What did you end up wearing? Did you get the position?
escapemyreality · 31-35, F
I ended up going with what he choose and yes I did get the job :)
Why can't you just tell him you want to wear something else, and do it ? Why is he choosing your clothes in the first place ?
escapemyreality · 31-35, F
I asked him. I couldn't decide between two outfits. He mixed the two lol
