If we couldn't die, there'd be no need to eat, drink, breathe, find shelter or solve problems, no need to cooperate, no need for language.

@hartfire I see your point but not all of life is about surviving, having sex with a condom or eating chocolate cake have little to do with biological imperative, or skiing, we just do it for fun. also discovering more about the universe is always interesting. although dying wouldn't be a worry, the quest for pleasure and comfort would still be a motivation, like standing in the rain naked would still suck after a while, thus requiring cooperation and ingenuity also the need for love would still be there because without others we die of boredom.
