Blockers are funny

That ego must swell big when people reply to your comment to just block you before you can read it. That's like slamming the door on yourself in the middle of a talk, but yeah.. you're like Rainman without the math skills.

Large ego and insecurity.

@seeandhear Some people do want to be bullies. I just don't tolerate it on my thread. I don't think that makes me a hypocrite.

@CheshireAzur Very good! I do not tolerate rude language on my thread either. I delete everything that's rude or vulgar. One of my posts had more than 1000 replies, and I had to delete about 50 or so.

Happened to me several times! A young Catholic lady blocked me some time ago because I dared criticize the "Holy Father". Of course, immediately before she blocked me, she sent me a final pm, to which I could not reply anymore.

They are like the kid, who takes their ball, and goes home.

@chrisCA Ha!!Emotional immaturity.
firefall · 61-69, M
Nah, you do that so you get the last word - others will still read the comments, and you (presumably) dont care about the person you're replying to, at that point.
firefall · 61-69, M
@CheshireAzur the blocker adds a comment, which will be the last word, because you cant reply (and cant even see what to reply to) - so others looking at the thread will see the blockers comment as the last thing said in the thread
CheshireAzur · 36-40, F
@firefall That's immaturity, just saying.

Me: When I block someone. I feel like a part of my faith in humanity dies a little

Them: Blocking makes me hard and superior in every way.
CheshireAzur · 36-40, F
@RadioDust Blocking doesn't serve any emotional need for me. It's just having the option to not want to interact with the person. Others do take it like a sense of ultimate power.. kinda gross.
RadioDust · 36-40, M
@CheshireAzur Sense of false power when in reality they're not very tolerant with others so it compensation for them in a petty way
Dolimyte · 41-45, M
I was with you until the Rainman reference. Not cool😔
CheshireAzur · 36-40, F
Eh. Can't win them all with 90's humor.
Dolimyte · 41-45, M
@CheshireAzur in all fairness, I would have laughed at that in the 90's.
I guess they showed….🚪
