Yep. In my country, it's better to not make eye contact with the cops at all. Thieves. And murderers. The cops in my country are a mafia. Backed up by the municipal authorities. This is why no one chooses forensic sciences as a profession at all. Either you support the mafia, or you die because you're honest. My forensic professors have been through some shit and their families' lives have been in danger frequently. One of my professors even publicly challenged an authority figure to act on his threats, but only in exchange for being exposed in court. He had a lot of evidence on the mafia boss and his little minions aka the cops.

Yes, Road Rage Cop can drag me out of my car and beat me to death. For that he'd expect to get a paid holiday. If I fought back to save my life I'd be sent to jail for assault on a police officer, even if his dash cam showed him beating me for no reason.
