@SalttyDawg I've been wanting to see that one
I did not know this was a thing. Guillermo Del Toro’s films are amaze-balls! @Tumbleweed

In the 60's, my parents weren't hippies...but they would go to movies and musicals (Hair), etc....my sister and I would wait up because they'd usually come in w/another couple and drink and talk about whatever they saw. The night they went and saw Clockwork Orange...they literally came home quiet and just went to bed....I remember asking me dad "what was it about?"...he just kind of shook his head.....I saw years later and yes, it's a movie that you need only see once.
For me - The Road (2009)...it's just haunting.
I felt mentally raped after seeing Clockwork at the tender age of 14. It’s a one-time visit film for me @luctoretemergo
Tumbleweed · 56-60, F
@luctoretemergo I've never seen Clockwork Orange but the comments here make me think I need to...
SW-User
@luctoretemergo I have actually watched the film at least a dozen times. Read the book twice.
HighJinx · 36-40, M
Clockwork Orange is crazy. Jacob's Ladder is another had my mind spinning.
SW-User
@HighJinx Jacob's Ladder was pretty trippy too. Tapeheads is another wired one. Also Barton Fink.
The Circle...

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3118452/

there are other movies with the same title.. but this one is a completel mindfuck about human nature and nothing like i seen before

Jacob's Ladder (Tim Robbins)
@LadyJ Solid film making, acting, great ending.
Tumbleweed · 56-60, F
@LadyJ Awesome movie for real! It's one of those movies you have to stay peeled to or you'll be lost.
Yes. You’re right. You can’t be texting, taking calls or caring for the kids while watching this. The clues are subtle. I am admittedly no genius but I figured it out first viewing. But yes you have to stick with it. @Tumbleweed
retiredbum · 51-55, M
Dated a girl who was really into Rocky horror picture show. That was weird, especially in the theater
@retiredbum It’s one of those films you need to see in the theater. It becomes very Mystery Science Theater that way. Otherwise it’s kinda boring
thepreposterouspanda · 36-40, M
There was a movie called Grind that came out in 2003 that my friends dragged me along to see. I almost walked out three or four times.

So either that or Napoleon Dynamite. 🤣
@thepreposterouspanda I laughed, I cried, I threw farm fresh produce at the screen. I just didn’t get it. Yet still believe there was nothing to get!
thepreposterouspanda · 36-40, M
@DukeOfEarle I only saw it once, and I have never been compelled to watch it again. That's usually the only sign I need. 😂
Almost everything David Lynch was nucking futs

The Human Centipede
LadyJ · F
@LilPuckBunny this was the weirdest movies i ever saw 🤢🤢🤢
@LadyJ Yeah it was really sick. My husband wanted to watch the sequel and I had to accidentally on purpose pretend to fall asleep!
LadyJ · F
@LilPuckBunny lol i would have done the same

RoxClymer · 41-45, M
@Thevy29 after seeing the trailer, I wanted to see this, then it go universally panned
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
@RoxClymer Its definitely one of a kind.
Bratt · F
I love A Clockwork Orange....minus perhaps the violence.

The Shining, another Kubrick film; my all time weirdest.

Have studied both for school be honest. 😎
SW-User
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was wacky but I liked it.

The Road to Wellville was a movie I watched in college that completely baffled me.
SW-User
I love that movie. Human Centipede. It was actually quite comical.
Tumbleweed · 56-60, F
@SW-User Omg I totally forgot that movie!!! I was like WTF?!?!
SW-User
@Tumbleweed Made me laugh. Second one was horrible though. Another wierd one was a Japanese movie called Audition.
Tumbleweed · 56-60, F
@SW-User I was just speechless at that movie!! It was definitely out there...
RoxClymer · 41-45, M
Killer Klowns From Outer Space

or Santa Vs The Martians
LadyJ · F
@RoxClymer those titles are enough for me NOT to watch em 🤣
RoxClymer · 41-45, M
@LadyJ both are actually so bad they're good

Fantastic Planet. Really odd animated movie about oppression.
SW-User
@Jessmari I forgot about that one. Very weird film. Humans as pets.
11knaves11 · 41-45, M
This seems so simple but I swear my mind goes blank thinking about it
greenmountaingal · 70-79, F
Try this one:

Hellzapoppin
Olsen & Johnson
LadyJ · F
@greenmountaingal will take a look
Coherence, it was a real mind bender! 😁

Weirdest one I can think of right now is Un Chien Andalu. Only like eight minutes long I think, but totally bizarre.

Mmm, Eraserhead is another one that’s off the wall. It’s full length but somewhat more coherent than Un Chien Andalu, which isn’t saying much.
thepreposterouspanda · 36-40, M
OH WAIT, I FORGOT!!!

I was channel surfing one night and came across this gem. This is easily one of the weirdest things I have ever come across. 😂

LadyJ · F
@thepreposterouspanda my brain hurts 😫
thepreposterouspanda · 36-40, M
@LadyJ I don't think I finished it, honestly. The choreographed fight scenes started to build up and be too much for my brain, as well as the WONDERFUL voice dubbing. 🤣
@thepreposterouspanda How has this gem slipped through the hands of Mystery. Science Theater??
jackson55 · M
Strange flick.
HellfireandCandy · 22-25, F
Can't remember the name Under the Black Rainbow? Anyway I have no idea what was happening. Too weird to even describe.
Tumbleweed · 56-60, F
@SW-User The Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind is another crazy one
SW-User
@Tumbleweed I actually enjoyed that film.
Tumbleweed · 56-60, F
@SW-User Yes, me too!!

Pink Floyd - The Wall.

Great soundtrack, tho.

@Azlotto Siskel and Eibert gave it 4 stars. It’s not an easy movie to watch but a good one
Azlotto · M
@DukeOfEarle Indeed...I was stoned out of my gourd the first time I watched it.
@Azlotto Whoa! That is not a flick I would want to watch while stoned!
