After someone dies and they still had a house and assets, what’s the very next step after the funeral?

I am an executor - so is a sister. What’s do I do next. Seriously have no idea.

Contact the probate judge’s office and the clerk will walk you through it. Depending on details you may need an attorney or you may feel more comfortable hiring one. Get at least 10 copies of the death certificate.
