After someone dies and they still had a house and assets, what’s the very next step after the funeral?

I am an executor - so is a sister. What’s do I do next. Seriously have no idea.

You will need an attorney . Deciding on What to do with the assets is up to you ...but documents must be filed with the court regarding the distribution and new ownership of those assets
