It’s flawed logic. You need to be a better person for yourself. Keep the keys to your happiness don’t hand them to someone else.

I think it's better and more strong a reason to do it for yourself. Otherwise you pin all your Hope's on something outside of yourself to make you better. They might leave and that's your reason gone...you are always going to be there.

Yes. As a parent I want to lead by example and thinking of them gives me strength and motivates me to show them hard work and perseverance does pay off and that it's never too late to improve yourself nor your current situation.
