Materialism

Idk what crossed this but I guess in a way I can really never find any fulfillment from material stuff, we work hard for so many things but when we get it it’s just kind of an empty void feeling.

I'm not a religious man, but we'd all do well to reject extravagance because it doesn't make us happy.

@BlueVeins Perhaps, but "everything in moderation, including moderation" (quote attributed to Ben Franklin).

@wuiop2 I get that but even then, how can we justify any luxury while people are starving? To be clear I'm a hypocrite in making this argument, but I kinda think it's true.
We are livin, in a material world.
.. and I’m a a a a.. material gurl

You are right! Apparently they've conducted studies on this and found that actually things and wealth don't make us happy. Sure being poor sucks but once you have a certain amount, having more doesn't increase your happiness.
People, relationships, experiences etc are more likely to make us happy than material stuff

You need to find yourself. Develop hobbies and do what you love, love what you do

Exactly. Many people don't realize this until very late in life.

It must be nice to feel that way.

That's the lack of spirituality you're feeling. No material goods can fill that hole.

Yep. Learn and adapt. What do you need instead?
