If you could choose your child's/children's profession, what would it be?

Of course they're free to choose themselves, I'm asking what you would choose for them.
Don't answer if you gonna pull that "Whatever makes them happy" cliche.

I’d prefer not to. My parents didn’t choose my career, I did. They weren’t even aware of whatever I was doing. I’d like to figure out their potential and ask them to try different things, but I’d never force a career on them.

@SW-User Hence the part where I asked "If you could". If you don't want to, don't comment. Simple, right?

Yeah, I read that part, and my answer still applies. I wouldn’t even if I could. There’s always an out of box answer. @RedwoodBarman

@SW-User There's also moving on. If you can't follow such simple guidelines I question your ability to do anything.

@SW-User I admit I didn't handle that as maturely as I could, but I don't seek validation from strangers who can't even abide by one simple request. If anything, I was seeking opinions on my behavior for the sake of bettering myself.

I'm curious, though. Since you being up validation. What did you think you'd gain by explicitly defying the one request I made for commenters on this post? What was your intention of refusing to follow one simple request? You could've moved on more easily than going through all this, right? Or did you feel compelled to go out of your way and intentionally ignore literally the one rule nearly everyone else has managed to follow while still making their opinion heard in an attempt to convince yourself you're a better person for it?
