Anybody on the books actually paying taxes did fine..that I know personally and anybody who didn’t claim tips or only On the Books for an agreed amount were screwed. They really are going to be screwed now being they can only have one person going at a time.

My friend cut my hair and I gave him a good tip a couple of weeks ago. But a lot of people haven’t been working during this pandemic and may not have the money to give extra.
@bijouxbroussard are you planning on giving a bigger tip every time you have a hair cut or only the first time?
@uniqueness1 I cant really afford it. I probably won’t be getting it cut as often for awhile.
As much as I would love to tip more, go out and shop local more, spend to get the economy restarted....I am fully aware that people are struggling buy our family income has been slashed so I am going to cut down.

But of course! I am so grateful for what she does for me to begin with. This had to have been really hard on her. I have an appointment this Friday!

@uniqueness1 I always have tipped generously. I will likely give a bit extra this time.
@Peapod and then go back to your regular tips for the other times following that?
Peapod · 61-69, F
@uniqueness1 Yup. Like I said, I am generous to begin with.

She owns her spot, so I am pretty certain she was on the books and got some sort of unemployment. I will likely ask how she has been making out these last few months.

Girl at work has decided to self isolate for another 3 weeks, after cutting her own hair!! 🤦‍♀️
@Harriet03 oops!! lol....

@Harriet03 Seems like a valid medical reason. 🤷‍♂️😂
@Harriet03 she could cover hear head with a stylish scarf and look amazing still. :)

She gives me mates rates, so I'll pay full. She's not worked for 3 months and her husband was laid off. At least I'm still earning my full wage.

@SW-User and you plan on doing this from now on or just the first visit?
SW-User
@uniqueness1 I dont go often. Twice a year, so probably whenever I go.

Tipping should be stopped. People should just be paid decent f*cking wages instead of having to perform like circus monkeys for spare change.

That said, I did tip my barber extra ... way extra. However, he also increased his rate by about 30%, so that won't continue.
@ninjavu 😲 30%!!?? wow. :( I wonder if my hair dresser will do the same?
ninjavu · 51-55, M
@uniqueness1 Hopefully he/she will, and then you don't have to tip. At least, that's my theory. 🤷‍♂️
@ninjavu 😆
DrWatson · 70-79, M
I already have.
@DrWatson are you planning a bigger tip every time or only the first time?
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@uniqueness1 I get my hair cut so infrequently that I have not thought that far ahead!
@DrWatson 😆 ok!
