What is a statement that sounds like you’re bragging but is actually the truth?

I’m not afraid of very much. I mean, I’m afraid of SOME things. But spiders, rats, most bugs don’t bother me. I’d pick up a snake if I knew it wasn’t poisonous. It’s probably not a very good quality to have, but it’s true. I’ll probably get killed someday for being brave.

To be fair, I’ll state the things I actually am afraid of: drugs, alcoholism, people that are not afraid of displaying violent behavior, suffocation, parenthood.

Venemous. Some snakes are venemous, not poisonous.

If it bites you and you die, it's venemous. If you bite it and you die, it's poisonous.

And it's usually stuff like this, where I'm just clarifying, that I sound like I'm showing off.
