Did your school have any horror stories?

I remember their was a rumor in middle school that someone had died in our school and I used to kinda laugh it off as bs until our gym teacher got real melancholy and admitted it was actually true. A guess a kid back in the 80s I think was crushed by a falling stage prop in the gym, from what I understand.

One school, the horror story was the schools lack of control of us kids.

A possible bully (though he claims he was the one being bullied and maybe they were both being bullied), was invovled in a fight and was stabbed right next to the heart and almost died.

A girl got hazed by her sports team... rumor is she had things stuck in her. Sounds like it might of been a short term tradition...

Another girl, a minor (16 or 17) girl purposely hooked up naked with another female minor student, possibly while drinking with some young adult guy... he took pictures and shared and went all over the school... and cops got called in, threatened everyone if they get caught sharing or even receiving it. But the adult got arrested.

The fact that they said you would get in trouble for receiving the nude photos is a bit much. How are you supposed to control what is sent to you by phone, unless you blocked everyone you knew from school in your contacts or on social media. @Viper

@Thebestof1995 oh yes, that was a bit of overkill, though, in the police/school's defense, I believe they were just trying scare tactics so that everyone deleted the photos, to spare the girl any more embassesment or hassressment, and suggesting if you were caught with the photos not-deleted on your phone, you could be charged with minor-porn.

That school principal seemed to try scare tactics, though they rarely worked.... the ones above worked more than usual because of the police and because they were actually charging some people with more serious crimes

Other times where the principal attempted to use scare tactics were quite stupid.

Where she's attempted to get information, but I think she shut people up, by upsetting us, when we gladly would of given as much information we had on the subject (teacher getting a spitball) before the stupid scare tactics.

And cancelling all non-sporting events, after failing to be able to legally suspend two girls that were drinking before a dance and refused breathalyzers which lasted months, but she finally gave in so that Senors could have a couple end of year events.

I think they made the students and parents sign some documents saying if they don't submit to a breathalyzer then the school can assume guilt or something.

The school science labs had just burned down when I started at my secondary school. The rumour was that our crazy physics teacher, who sometimes slept in the labs, had started the fire.

There was a girl that attended the same high school and she got ran over and killed by a garbage truck making a right turn as she was about to cross the street.

Her family was at the same intersection, making their way to pick her up after school and saw it all. This happened in the early 2000’s when I was still in elementary.

there's a school ghost everyone knows of at my old college. she even has a name. There are a bunch of stories about the sound of a girl's crying during the night classes and teachers getting pissed when you joke about it cause it's legit

There actually was an incident at my school when a fourth grader fell off a swing set and landed in his head. He fucked his neck up really bad and there were rumors that he had died. But then he came back to school like two months later wearing one of those braces.

I went to grade school in a place that used to be a Catholic convent run by narcissistic foreign missionaries. Apparently one of them who passed away on the premises, used to walk the halls during odd hours.

Almost had one. Senior year a kid in my grade got shoved through a plate glass window. Somebody jumped into action and moved him right before a big piece of glass fell right where he was. Would've skewered him

Dude in high school auto shop was working under a car lifted on a jack instead of supported by jack stands like it shoulda been. The jack slipped, car dropped, and his head was crushed under the brake drum. Several students witnessed it and teacher had a breakdown and quit teaching.

I’ve always wondered how I’m gonna go, mainly because I’ve had some close calls. My dad saved me from almost getting run over by a snowmobile that whizzed by us like a bullet when I was a teenager. He saw it coming at the last second. @Luchs

It was rumoured that the bell tower at my Grammer school was haunted by someone who hung themselves never found out if it was true or not.

My aunt's highschool, there was a cheerleader girl who promised to bang the whole football team if they won some really big game against a rival team or something...

When they won, she tried to get out of it and they ended up gang raping her and she died from another being underneath too many bodies I guess...

@Thebestof1995 yeeaaa, except it's actually a true story cuz my aunt knew the girl.. And some of the kids went to prison etc... I think they went for rape/manslaughter..

A teacher hung himself at my hs. Years before I got there. We all hated using those stairs.

Near death was as close as it got...some coach that happened to be walking by the trailer classrooms separate from the main building starts screaming bloody murder and everyone comes out and sees him holding the legs of a kid that was trying to hang himself on a nearby tree.

One of the guys in my school... the class clown - shot himself in the boys bathroom just before lunch in the 11th grade.

Yeah. Some girl hung herself in front of the entrance at school. All the teachers entered through the side of the building, so it was only until students came that anyone noticed.

@SW-User Had that happened at my school, I'd have been the one to find the dead student. For some reason I'm always the one who finds the body. One of my coworkers hung himself in the basement when I worked at the print shop and I found him.

Lost a dear friend when I was in 6th grade. He drowned and I knew about it a week after.

When I was a freshman two juniors fell “deeply-madly-no one else-existed” in love. But it was 1972, he came from an old Italian-American family and she was African American, from the Deep South. When the parents found out, there were attempts on both sides to separate them, but they kept sneaking out to see each other. At the end of the semester her parents packed her up and sent her back South to stay with relatives. He practically camped out on their front lawn trying to find out where she’d gone. So his family sent him up to Russian River hoping he would heal and forget her. But he committed suicide.
The news devastated the entire community. There was a memorial to him in that year’s yearbook.

The town next to mine has a small HS, and yet, an intact graduating class was rare. Lots of car accidents and such. Very sad.
