How do I raise my self-esteem?

I'm having a huge trouble dealing with my self-esteem rn. I feel like I can't do anything right and that I'll amount to nothing. Rationally irl I'm an achiever and I do a lot of things but deep down I feel so incompetent. It's too suffocating right now, any wanna talk about that?

Do some team work course that has little responsibility attached to it and learn to stay on top of your thoughts and make sure you are thinking otherwise the subconscious takes over which enforces past behaviour and feelings.

@Psycho Well I guess I'll tell the voice in my head to shut up by getting engrossed in team activities. Is that what you mean?

@JustChill That voice is you and you need to learn to control it by thinking thoughts that don't discourage you and works towards your goals without blowing them off.

You need to be aware of your thoughts in stressful situations so you can moderate them. Team building activities can help take you out of your comfort zone in a friendly environment.

@Psycho I'm aware of them and I'm in constant stress right now, and all I'm thinking is: "You are so stupid". I used to think "I hate you" but now I am literally pronouncing out loud "I love you, myself" whenever that former thought slithers in. I guess I'll do the same and say "I trust you, myself. You can do it". But it takes a little bit time to believe in that before putting it into practice.

@JustChill You'll only believe it if you apply it. The thoughts I had to cope with anxiety at a course was "I can leave whenever I want" "I don't care about getting on with the people here" on the first day I stood in dog shit and walked it through the building before I and everybody else noticed.

I got on with most people on the course well, I didn't talk about the issues I was facing until further through. I came in and they thought I was a badass they thought I was rock n roll because I controlled my thoughts, I dismissed and corrected all the insecurities.

It can be difficult but team exercise courses are a very small manageable step, worst case scenario you stop going.

@Psycho I actually did not grasp the concept of team exercise courses, I can't meet anyone I'm in quarantine.
I'm glad you came through your anxieties unscathed. :)

@JustChill For now there's not much you can do in that way but it's an easy first step.

The main principle is thought control to make it suit your aims and it can be applied to anything.

Negative shitty thoughts about not being good enough are rubbish, life isn't a rat race for everyone and that's the way you need to think about it.

No excuses, no self loathing that's embarrassing not you but that bad thought process.

@Psycho I know, I know. But thanks for sharing your thoughts.
