Well don't you know that a person's life only matters BEFORE they are born? Duh.
Fernie · F
@BlueMetalChick Yep! Then they need to give 500 bucks to all pregnant women since they claim it is a child right from conception
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Fernie You know what I like best is that religious zealots will tell you that abortion is unacceptable because it is killing a living baby. No matter how early on, even a pre-gestation fetus, even a gamete, even a zygote, is still a living human. This is especially hypocritical with Christian people because their own holy book, the bible, clearly states that a child is not alive until it takes its first breath of air. Prior to being born into the world and inhaling its first breath, it's not actually alive.

@BlueMetalChick what they do best is cherry pick. It's such BS
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Fernie It goes even deeper. God himself performs abortions in one part of the bible when he comes down to Earth and rips the unborn fetuses from the wombs of all the women in Babylon and throws them into he Euphrates River. There's even instructions on how to perform an abortion and when it is acceptable to do so. If a woman cheats on her husband with another man and she gets pregnant, the husband is supposed to make a concoction called "bitter water" which is basically just water mixed with heavy metals to make it mildly toxic. The pregnant wife will then drink the bitter water. If she miscarries as a result of it, then the baby must have been that of the man she cheated with. If the baby is born anyway, then it must be the husband's baby, and everything is fine.

@BlueMetalChick That book is evil
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Fernie I wouldn't necessarily say that the bible is evil. It was written by dozens of different people over an extended period of time, hence why it contradicts itself so much. I would certainly say there are very evil portions, such as when God instructs Joshua to round up the babies in Jericho and then smash their heads against the rocks by the ocean. Infanticide is pretty much one of the most evil things you can do. But there's also a lot of charitable and kind parts of the bible as well. It's really less of a book and more like a collection of fables by different authors.

@BlueMetalChick considering how many innocent people were murdered, imprisoned, tortured in the name of it since this book was written, for and by men, and yes...it has been written over and over by many MEN....(how can anyone take it seriously)makes it quite evil ...religion is evil...that's my take on it

@BlueMetalChick
such as when God instructs Joshua to round up the babies in Jericho and then smash their heads against the rocks by the ocean.
I...what now?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@MissLlyn Yeah, there's a segment in the Old Testament when Moses is leading the Jews out of Egypt and back to the promised land. Moses dies along the way and so Joshua takes command to lead the group along the final leg of its journey. They reach the promised land only to find that in the centuries they've been gone, other people have decided to live there since it was empty. The city of Jericho now stands where the Jews were intending to return to. God speaks to Joshua and tells him to lead the group in a march around the city seven times and then blow a trumpet. He does this, and the walls of Jericho collapse before their eyes. God then tells Joshua that he and the rest of the group are to take over the city, round up all the residents, and bring any babies they find down to the seashore and "dash their heads against the rocks."
