The police in the UK are arresting people for buying stationary, Easter eggs and birthday cards

THESE ARE NOT ESSENTIAL ITEMS but even if the perpetrator buys food at the same time, if the police find out that theyve simultaneously brought any non essential items, they get in trouble

i felt nervous strolling down this dark alley. many potential dangers, a fleeting thought of running home to safety but before i could i saw him. a shady masked man in a black cloak. he looked like death its self. fighting back tears and a frog in my throat i asked him "d'd'do you have it." i held out my hand offering him what few notes of currency i had left. Don't let him see you shaking i thought.

with a steely unblinking gaze into what i thought was my very soul he pulls out an envelope and as a breeze takes away leaves in the wind my money was gone. "YOU NEVER MET ME" he said, fading into the darkness.

i ran back to light, back to freedom back to safety.

i opened the envelope.....smiled a sigh of relief before tucking it into my jacket.

i hope my little sister loves her birthday card.
