When a foreign film has no subtitles in your language, but you watch it anyway?

Some films are not ONLY about the dialogue ...

Some directors create poems by creating a vision ... Those films are more about composition, color, light, and music..

Sergei Parajanov, a very famous Armenian film director created only 4 films, 3 of which had no dialogue at all, yet, the audience could sit and watch without getting bored..

Lol I once watched a Czechoslovakian film with Portuguese subtitles and my level of knowledge on both is 0. I watched it again but this time it was dubbed in Italian and with English subtitles so finally I understood it 😂

None. I can listen to music not in my language, but for films I need to know what's happening.

Ah, back in the days of VHS watched a lot of horror movies from faraway lands without subtitles...

I used to watch anime with no subtitles... it was pretty easy to understand what was going on though lol

English is my only language, my guide is dutch, watching Dutch subtitled films in English is mental torture.
