Why would that be mystifying? Higher levels of testosterone produce hair growth. As a female, unless she had PCOS, she wouldn't produce as much testosterone, and the hands would stop growing so much hair.

@boklenholley7 just finished reading the article, and to be short, doctors are mystified was it was unexpected.. Several theories why but no accepted answer as yet

@ozgirl512 but why would it be unexpected? Hair growth changing due to different levels of hormones is well documented from PCOS to menopause.
