Do you think a person addicted to alcohol can actually feel love?

Do those in active addiction have real feelings either dampened or heightened by addiction?

Addiction is like being possessed. So one never knows how the possessed will react. As long as the love does not conflict with the spirit that has possessed, all will be smooth... but when there is a conflict, the love will be the first thing that is thrashed to the ground..

It is always the glass that feeds the spirit that suffers the consequence.
