Mentall abuse is much worse
indyjoe · 56-60, M
Both (and don't forget sexual which is a form of physical but slightly different) are horrendous and cause damage...but I would say that mental (and/or emotional) is because the scars are deeper and never completely heal (and in physical abuse the body can be damaged and heal but it also leaves mental/emotional scars and damage that never completely does).
Ladyred · 46-50, F
All three forms of abuse are emotional abuse, and regardless of the injury emotional wounds may or may not heal. );

I've never seen physical abuse that hasn't been accompanied by mental abuse.

SW-User
Both are equally harmful.
Whyme · 46-50, M
Tough call mental would stick with ya longer those wounds are harder to heal but physical would turn into mental eventually

SW-User
I can't imagine a scenario where physical abuse doesn't include mental abuse outside of random or inadvertent assault.
Whyme · 46-50, M

WeighedDown · 41-45, M
@Witchthatwantsfun in away it is both physical and mental abuse, but it has a separate classification.
sighmeupforthat · 46-50, M
