Did you ever have to cut off family members out of your life because you couldn’t get along with them, no matter how hard you tried to get along with

Yes...my adopted 'brother' because we just cannot get along no matter what (he's a narcistic a*hole). I tried to create and maintain a relationship with my parents, but it was mediocre at best and wiped out completely when my dad made a pass at my wife. After that I struggled to maintain a sense of cordiality but that is all (only because they were my parents and the only ones I had) up until their deaths.
