@Dewms this one isn't very difficult, but I suppose it is good I like games with a lot of story in it then!
@ViciDraco are u a storyteller?
ViciDraco · 41-45, M
@Dewms in a way. I play dungeons and dragons with friends. I often take the role of game master which is the person that creates the stories and runs the world in which the players act.
@ViciDraco Ohhhh!! WOOOW!!!!! So cool! D&D seems so fun to play. Do you need to have more than 2 players to play that?
ViciDraco · 41-45, M
@Dewms you can do it with two. Don't need more but I find it works best with four or five people.
@ViciDraco okie. Why is there a game master????? And does he control the game?

@Dewms the game exists primarily in imagination. Though you can purchase adventures that have much of the creation part done for you.

If you think of a movie like Lord of the Rings, all of the players would be a main character like frodo, or Legolas or gimlee. The game master is in charge of describing the world around them and controls what the enemies do. The players take that information and then describe how their character is going to interact with that world.

The game master also sets difficulties for things the players attempt. If a player was trying to sneak an item past some guards at a gate, the game master would tell them what score they might need on their die roll. Dice are used for things characters want to attempt that might have a chance at failure, which is where the game part comes in.

Even though the game master is in charge of the enemies, he isn't trying to win. The game master's job is to make the story and enemies challenge the player in a way that they feel is fun. The risk if failure is present to provide that extra but of drama and feeling of accomplishment from success.

If really curious, look up something called Critical Role on YouTube.
@ViciDraco i saw it being played in Stranger Things and was so confused but now that i know how its done, it really is so much fun!!!! 😭 i will check out Critical Role soon!!! Thank you. 😄😸
@ViciDraco the game master sounds like the narrator and god in a mobile game 😆 best role!
