I rescued a bumble-bee from a spider's web the other day. I don't think spiders usually eat bees and wasps - you don't want to risk your dinner stinging you to death - and there was no sign of the spider there anyway.

The poor little animal was frantically struggling to slough the bits of thread entangling its legs, making it hard for me to tease them away, but I think I succeeded in removing the worst because the bee suddenly stopped struggling and flew away.

@ArishMell I don't want spiders to eat bees, but I wish they'd eat wasps. I hate wasps.
