Why do most men stay quiet?

Around people I don't know or don't know well I am (I'm a listener and an observer for the most part...always have been), but my wife will be the first to tell you that once I get to know you and you get to know me I am not loud and obnoxious but I am NOT a quiet person.

@imo21169 I don't talk all the time...what I meant was To people who don't know me I come across as shy or introverted, but to those who do know that is not true. I can be outspoken and engage in conversation a lot more. I also allow more of my personality flow freely as I am not as cautious in what I say (a lot of people don't understand my thoughts or sense of humor).
