i used to be a very quick to get angry and a lot of meditation and soul searching made me realize that the level of reaction comes more from an accumulation of stored frustration than the actual trigger. the way to empty this reservoir of frustration is through meditation, but a specific type of meditation. we all have these memories that come back to us at the most random moments and we momentarily relive a frustrating moment, those are the culprits. but they are hard to uncover so the best way is that when you encounter one, immediately go meditate and deal with it once and for all. i can describe this technique in more detail if you want, how exactly to do this meditation.
