why is it so hard to find an apartment for sale?

why is it so hard to find apartments for sale?, its easy to find houses for sale but not a single apartment.

Usually apartments for sale, at least in the US, are referred to as condos, duplexes or triplexes, or multi-family homes.

You might have better luck using those search terms.

Plenty for sale back where I'm from (Cape Cod). I considered buying one when my parents recently moved, but it just didn't make sense with how rarely I'd be there.
