How old is the place you'd regard as your home town?
The remote village I spent my first eleven years in, apparently was mentioned in a document dating from 1202 !

No real idea. I’m sure my town always existed as long as the rest of Britain has but the oldest known building in my town now is a pub that was built in 1473 and it wasn’t until the Victorian times that the town became popular for the tradition to sit on the beach. It’s known as a Victorian seaside town.
