has someone ever told you “you deserve someone better”? If so, were they right?

Your true love is your "Self Love" (not self obsession)
In life:
You validate you
You complete you

So when you are at-home in you as you. Then those around you in your life will Add to you. No one can deserve another, as they themselves give them their own value. When you value you, the need to seek this deserving falls away. As we know, we each do stuff up, we trigger old hurts in other people or they to us.

Deserving needs to be replaced by Forgiveness, as yes people will hurt us.......to forgive them, then we release the chains that bind us to them.

You deserve to forgive. ...as humans stuff up regularly. ...
I think though to forgive is to understand the other’s position or to put ourselves in their shoes. And sometimes we can’t so we have trouble forgiving. Sometimes we just lose too much as a result of someone else’s behavior. @SoFine

@Spoiledbrat yes, yet we chain us to them, when we relive the incident, when we tell over and over the event that did occur. We keep us then as a victim in place of moving on. The past is the past. ..it's gone. The now is the now and the only place this second is now.
True. I cant stop thinking about what I lost. That’s my focus. Then my thoughts move from what to why I lost it. @SoFine
Not better but someone who is more successful and put together.

It's funny that I always deserve someone better, just not Them 🤔

Yes, unless it's them who I want.
