Do you ever go "shopping" on Amazon and put things in your cart, knowing you aren't going to buy them?

All the time. Then I move them to 'save for later' and eventually I delete them.

@bijouxbroussard Every now and then I go through the list and think "It's never going to be THAT much later," and delete them.
Oh i buy them. & i return a lot of stuff bc of this compulsion

@DarlingSelah That's a lot of hassle.

Yes. I feel less weird doing that than I do walking around Target holding something, knowing I’ll just put it back.

@SW-User Same! But I do it at Target anyway. Lol.

SW-User
Yes then I move them to save for later I have like 5O items

@SW-User It's sooo easy to let them build up in there!
iamnikki · 31-35, F
No, too dangerous. I set up the 'one click purchase' option 😂

No. What I do sometimes while online shopping is put several shirts in my cart, and then I look at the bill, gasp, and remove all but my favorite. 😊
Spoiledbrat · F
I do that at the department store. I do save books and electronic stuff like phone cases because I think I might come to them but sometimes I don’t. I clean my list every once in awhile though. @4meAndyou

SW-User
Well I go over budget so I remove some to the save for later and then I come back and get those

@SW-User I rarely buy all the stuff in my cart!
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
TBH I have never shopped at Amazon. I doubt that I ever will.
Tomorrow · 56-60, F
@hippyjoe1955 I do often.
Reverend · M
Yes, do the same on Ebay
Spoiledbrat · F
I do that when I want to come back to it later.
Tomorrow · 56-60, F
@Spoiledbrat I have a few of those things in my cart too.
Fungirlmmm · 51-55
Yes, often
Tomorrow · 56-60, F
@Fungirlmmm There something satisfying about it.

As a cripple, I cannot afford to shop at a grocery or thrift store.

@Tomorrow What is simole?
Anonymartyr · M
@Tomorrow It is wasteful. You could be helping people who need it with that time. I am practically homeless but I am one of the very few actually helping this community with the housing crisis even though I can rarely get out of my bed. There is nothing else worth doing anyway.
Maybe I might think differently if I had a family, but I don't know anything about family- I never had one. I wish I could but I have not met anyone fit for marriage who wasn't already married. I have replaced duty to family with duty to people who are oppressed. Shopping is trivial whether real or imaginary. It is not even worth conversation.

@Anonymartyr Oh please. It is not wasteful. How dare you judge me or anyone else for finding simple enjoyment in life. Don't project your situation on anyone else or try to guilt me because you have no idea how much or how little I do with charitable organizations or with the church to help those who are having a rough time. While I'm sorry for your situation, if we are playing that game, the fact you are on the internet playing around on a silly site like SW, tells me you aren't spending all of your time in search of knowledge to better your situation. There is none of that kind of knowledge to be found here. You just want to belly ache, get attention and sympathy and tear others down so you can feel better about yourself. It's ridiculous and I have no time for that crap.
bijouxbroussard · F
Yes, I definitely have done that. 🛒
Tomorrow · 56-60, F
@bijouxbroussard Just something that makes you feel better. Lol.
NudasPriest · 46-50, M
No ... the final click is far too easy.
Tomorrow · 56-60, F
@NudasPriest Laughs. It really is but I can usually talk myself down off that ledge.
