Those who show up at your front door with no warning

I find it very disrespectful when after giving those whom I would like to visit a call to be sure it's ok. To me it is that they do this to catch you off guard and to be nosey disrepecting your privacy . I wont answer the door if this is the case. How would you take this and what would you do hide or answer the door?

Depends. The other night it was a friend on a relapse. Open door obviously. He slept the night in the spare room. I called his wife to let her know where he was but she wasn't bothered sadly.
