Happy birthday

Not since I was 21. Especially since mine came and went a few weeks ago and not one person noticed 🤷🏻‍♂️

@SW-User Yikes. Not very nice.

@SW-User Reminds me of my dad. He doesn't celebrate xD

@comicdeath 21 was the last real milestone, drinking age in the US lol, no need since then. 😄

They are to me. I think it's nice to pause and honor an individual at least once a year [and what better opportunity than one's birth anniversary].

So many of us live with depression and sadness feel alone and unloved - when it simply isn't true.

It's sad that often the only event that truly brings people together for a loved one is attending their funeral.

With our busy lives, the opportunity to bring together friends under more joyous circumstances is much needed for everyone.

I say this fresh from attending another probable suicide funeral of a dear old friend whom I don't know a single person who didn't adore him. It was so great to connect with people I hadn't seen in years, but he should have been there too. It shouldn't have been because we lost him.

They are bittersweet for me so I don't enjoy the fuss.

Happy birthday!🥳🎂

First, happy birthday. Second, to answer your question, I don’t really celebrate mine. It’s just not a big deal to me, but I normally take the day off work if it falls during the week.
Happy Birthday 🎂
It's a big deal to me. I start celebrating at midnight and go until I want to stop. There are big adventures and great fun on my birthday.

chuck7882 no not really it is more or less another day to me birthdays are like being a kid at christmas it loses appeal as you get older
SW-User
Not particularly. I have a couple of rituals and I like to take the day off but other than that, it's pretty low-key.

Less and less important as I get older. After you've had 70 of them … 🙃

Happy Birthday!

It’s never been forgotten so I don’t know if that would make a difference or not. But I’ve never done parties for it. Some cake and a present is about it.

Since I'm not sure where you stand on it I'll gamble and say it anyway: Happy Birthday! 😄 Sounds like a nice way to spend your birthday.

It was at some point to me, but for many years it has absolutely not important to me at all. I'd rather it just be a completely normal day, no gifts, no extra attention, no "Happy Birthday"s... just straight up a run-of-the-mill day.
