Do you throw junk away that your significant other is dry holding on to?

Or do you just ask politely lol

Tend to sort things together so we don't get rid of stuff the other wants to keep hold of whilst at the same time makes it realistic on whether something actually needs to be kept.

Not always easy to do but having to help clear the family home you get better at judging what to actually keep.
It was my significant other that turned out to be the junk to be removed.

I throw my junk away, not his, he does that when he's ready.

What's dry-holding?
MrsCurious · 26-30, F
Hoarding things that is unnecessary and possibly holding on to things you don’t need. So it’s dry just dry taking up space. Lol @Success

No. In some cases I might suggest it, ask kindly, or try to nudge them in the direction, but I'd never throw their stuff away without permission.

For me that would be breaching their trust. I know I would not appreciate that happening to me.

If we're talking full-on hoarding here - the "entire room is filled from floor to ceiling with the tiniest walkway" kinda hoarding - I would likely be very clear about that I would not accept living like that. In the end, it's their call whether they choose their hoarded goods or me, but I would not be willing to live in that kinda chaos.
