impeachment

i read a question that asked if trump is found guilty on his impeachment and kicked out of office and pence takes over can pence then make trump his vice president obviously i am from united kingdom and do not understand or have the first understanding of the american legal system it was a long time ago since nixon and watergate will trump not serve time if he is found guilty on either or both charges

No, here in the U.S. the President can not appoint a Vice President. The Speaker of the House would be next in line after Pence.

That is true in the cases of death or resignation. In the case of impeachment the VP has the ability to choose his new VP who then has to be approved by 2/3 majority in the Senate @Cabernetfranc

Impeachment is a confusing process and not something people really study @Cabernetfranc. Mainly because this is only the 3rd time it’s ever happened.
