It celebrates his birth... on the wrong date. It represents the renewal of God's interest in the plight of Man after many millennia of groundless punishment; God's willingness to possibly mend his wicked and childish ways.

It is a celebration of Christ’s birth. Any adult saved or not knows he was born on a separate day. Praise God!
