He who believes not in Christ, eternal punishment awaits him:
"That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." (John 3:14-17, KJV)

Neither.
I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.

@SW-User Interesting quote.

That's up to the people who are responsible for have you cremated or laid away. You'll be at the party, but you can't verify the guest list or where they gather unless you have your final wishes in writing and somebody who will be handling the arrangements sees to it your wishes are carried out.
It's sort of like the situation where my niece got married and my brother told me she was going to be, but I was not invited because "it's not going to be in church." I wouldn't have cared, I just would to like to BE there. The next time I saw Amy, three years later, she climbed out her dad's car and hugged me, saying enthusiastically, "How ARE you? I MISSED you. I haven't seen you since the (college) graduation!" (I was invited and went.) As she got back in the car, she said brightly, "You've just GOT to come by and meet Eric (her new husband)." All I said was, "That would be nice. I've HEARD about Eric, but I never MET him."
My charming brother didn't say one word.

@Nimbus So is mine - but my wishes aren't in it. You can always alter it, add or subtract things. I learned the hard way when my mom died intestate and my dad spoke about his final wishes but never had it down in writing.
Nimbus · M
@MaryJanine I never thought of that.
I will keep it in mind, thanks.

I dont think it matters what people think they believe so much as how they behave and treat other people.

Infinite possibles that nobody knows. They want to think they know or provide their best educated guess for that comfort thing. I'm cool with I don't know.

I think your soul either advances or it doesnt.
Nimbus · M
@DarkSideoftheMoon How can you ensure it does?
DarkSideoftheMoon · 36-40, F
@Nimbus spiritual growth. I think when you keep facing the same challenges in life, its life teaching you a lesson that will help us advance to the next stage, dimension, realm whatever. I have a really hard time putting it into words.

Sadly, hell. Not believing in something does not negate its existence.
